Trek Everest base camp via Jiri
This is a classic version of Everest trek used by early expedition groups before airstrip was built on Everest region. The trails are non touristy and the views of beautiful hill villages, dense forests and ancient monasteries are just superb.
Itinerary
- Day 01: Arrival in kathmandu, transfer to hotel
- Day 02: Drive to Jiri (1305m).- 7 hrs on a bus . Overnight in mountain lodge.
- Day 03: Trek Jiri – Deurali (2500m).
- Day 04: Trek to Sete (2575m).
- Day 05: Cross Lamjura Pass (3530m.) and trek to Junbesi (2675m).
- Day 06 :Cross Trakshindo Pass ( 3071m.) trek to Nunthala (2350m).
- Day 07: Trek to Kharikhola (2050m).
- Day 0 8: Trek to Surke (2339m).
- Day 0 9: Trek to Phakding (2640m).
- Day 10: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3446m).
- Day 11: Rest day at Namche Bazaar
- Day 12: Trek to Tengboche (3867m).
- Day 13: Trek to Dingboche (4343m).
- Day 14: Acclimatization day at Dingboche . Optional hike to Chukhung (4730m).
- Day 15: Trek to Lobuche Village(4840m).
- Day 16: Trek to Gorakshep (5321m.) , visit Everest Base Camp (5486m.) and return to Gorakshep for overnight stay.
- Day 17: Early morning climb Kala Pathar (5545m) , trek to Lobuche.
- Day 18: Trek to Tengboche.
- Day 19: Trek to Namche Bazaar.
- Day 20: Trek to Lukla (2800m).
- Day 21: Fly to Kathmandu, free day on your own.
- Day 22: Guided tour in Kathamndu, farewell dinner.
- Day 23: Fly back home
